For 140 years, Reck has always been about exceptional coffee, selecting the right lands, the right producers, the right roast. Expanding from B2B to B2C, we set out to translate that same rigor into a digital experience.

Specialty coffee is inherently Complex
The challenge
Origins, processes, tasting profiles… Everything adds depth, but also friction. The existing experience reduced that richness to a catalog.
We needed to turn complexity into clarity without losing what makes the product exceptional.
Our approach
We approached Reck as an editorial system rather than an e-commerce interface.
Each coffee is not a product, it’s a terroir, a story, a moment.
The experience had to:
- reveal origin
- structure information
- and remain effortlessly shoppable

Each Coffee—
Its Story—
Its Journey
An experience like a photobook
Large-scale imagery (from the studio Nis&For) anchors the experience in reality—hands, landscapes, harvest.
Each pure origin coffee has its journey (hundreds of field photography), where the owner gets to meet the farmers and select each coffee.
Product pages are designed as layered narratives that bring together origin, altitude, and variety, enriched with embedded storytelling to provide context and depth throughout the experience.

A World First
in the coffee landscape
From whole bean to capsule
Well... we didn’t benchmark every possible bean roaster out there but we're confident to say that we conceived the first e-commerce where you can buy either the whole bean, ground or capsule for the same exceptional coffee.
Over the years, Reck has developed a rare expertise: grinding coffee with extreme precision for Nespresso-compatible capsules. A know-how almost unique in France, which the experience had to reveal at every step of the shopping journey.
A Restrained Design Language
Muted earthy tones, editorial typography, crisp layout. A system designed to hold both timeless luxury and authenticity without tension.
Reck is no longer something you browse. It’s a world you step into.
